Lakes, hog farms, soybeans, corn and finally some solid stands of trees. The ride went well after we delayed a bit first thing due to hard rain early in the morning. We rode through some small midwestern towns, had some late breakfast in Redwood Falls, rode though Beaver Falls and Buffalo Lake. Kind of a boring ride getting from point A to point B further east on the map.

Team is tired but moving. We are all looking forward to our rest day on Friday after we complete one more 80 miler tomorrow from the hotel here in Hutchinson to Mendota, just east and south of downtown Minneapolis.

After tomorrow, we switch our support driver hopefully for the last time on our journey. Our support drivers were Kevin Green for the first two weeks, followed by our dear friend Jenny Pearlman for another week, followed by Rick Chapman for the past two weeks, and now we are back with Kevin Grern for the final push! It’s hard to describe how important and how incredibly selfless this whole crew has been for us. I can not put in to words how grateful we are.

Very familiar trails today heading south toward our endpoint at Bridgeport, CT where we ride a car ferry back to Long Island. 61 miles mostly on paved and some unpaved bike trails with pretty scenery
