Cyclists on a bridge

Today was focused on the Clearwater River. We began our journey on the Clearwater and ended with a cold plunge in the same river as we gently ascended 67 miles through a picturesque gorge adorned with pine trees and numerous small tributaries. There was some headwind with a steady climb of about 2,400 ft. It was a warm day, and the views were spectacular! Tomorrow will be a bit more challenging as we tackle the pass about 33 miles into the ride. It's all downhill from there to Lolo, where we will finish at 65 miles.

So far, the numbers: 638 miles completed (just under 71 miles per day) and 29,733 feet climbed. That's about 16% of the mileage and around 25% of the climbing done! Onward and literally upward!

Very familiar trails today heading south toward our endpoint at Bridgeport, CT where we ride a car ferry back to Long Island. 61 miles mostly on paved and some unpaved bike trails with pretty scenery

Hope you’re off the gravel and washboard dirt and onto smooth roads. Go Glenn!
